Collaborations
Since the origins of the Institute, the Founders have relied on the collaboration of lay teachers, who have shared in the daily implementation of the educational mission for the formation of the girls and young women entrusted to them.
Over time, the dimension of collaboration with lay people has always been important and has been configured and implemented in different ways in the various socio-cultural contexts where the Institute is present. The common goal is to achieve a significant, creative, and exciting educational Good, especially alongside the new generations in the complementarity of different vocations, always allowing ourselves to be animated by the life example of Blessed Catherine and her sister Judith, and in openness to today’s educational opportunities and challenges.
Caterina Cittadini Foundation Onlus
Foundation established to honor Blessed Caterina Cittadini.
It intervenes according to the present needs in the various missions of the Institute: India, Bolivia, Brazil, Philippines, and Indonesia.
The main interventions of the Foundation can be summarized as follows:
- Long-distance adoptions
- Educational paths to promote culture, food, and medicines to guarantee the right to health, “Houses” to accompany the growth of life;
- Ensure sustainable development in service of life;
- “Rebuild” hope for future paths;
Caterina and Giuditta Cittadini Association Onlus
The purpose of the association is to address the adolescent and youth world from an educational perspective.
It also aims to support, including financially, projects concerning the cultural and educational growth of minors, in Italy and worldwide.
Anfora Onlus
The Association was born within the Institute of the Ursuline Sisters of St. Jerome in Somasca to offer welcome and educational accompaniment to women alone or with dependent children in situations of fragility. Anfora’s activity is inscribed in the educational project of the Institute, giving a current face to an aspect of the charism. |
JYOTHI NILAYA – Onlus Association
It is a non-profit organization that deals with long-distance support in southern India.
Only through education can man become a man, the right to education is the fundamental premise for development and stability, it is the most valid tool to fight poverty, marginalization, and exploitation.
