THE CROSSROAD OF LIFE
Every man is a Pilgrim on this earth,
Every moment is a call to re-birth.
Trace, oh Pilgrim, the path to life,
Have confidence when faced with strife.
The crossroad of life is just before
you, Many travel on it, how about
you?
Along the way, may be thorns and stone,
Yet in every way you're not alone.
Stand firm, have faith, and believe
The Pilgrim is sure to live.

THE JOURNEY
It seems to be endless
For the one who is faithless
But full of mysteries If you have
confidence.
Man, oh man, where do you go?
Do you ever try to know?
Remember life is but a journey
Towards the One who created thee.
The road may seem to be lengthy
Stand firm and walk confidently,
Strive everyday to live fully
As a gift to everybody.

MIRACLES DO HAPPEN
Choose to love rather than hate
Choose to share rather than get.
Forgive when hurts befall you
Then God will be pleased with you
Live life in simplicity
And you will cultivate humility
Submit yourself totally,
To Him, who loves you dearly.
Then your life will be
Transformed in Him who chose thee.
Miracles do happen
To the heart that is open.

GENTLENESS
Like a breeze that hovers over you

At the beginning of creation
Was born and sent to a mission
Through the Virgin's humble submission
Humanity obtained salvation.
As a friend she passes by
Unnoticed all the time
Yet stays just before you eye
Peaceful and bright, as the sky.
Flows like a river beyond the bank
Fresh as the pure water in man's heart
Calmness to the soul at rest
Quenching the deep desire and thirst.

"MOMENTS"
PREPARATION FOR PERPETUAL PROFESSION
(April 01- May 23,2002)
It was
the first day of April, the day filled with
rejoicing and gladness at the Glorious Resurrection
of our Lord, recalling the accounts of His
Appearance to His disciples when our annual
retreat was held in Tagaytay with His Excellency
Msgr. Julito B. Cortes, Auxiliary Bishop
of Cebu. This moment of prayer and silence
brought about an experience in us that marked
the journey of preparation for our perpetual
vows- our total commitment to God.
The Spirit
of God moved where it wills and instill
in our hearts the ardent desire for God
alone. We were enlightened, guided and inspired
by His promptings that draw us into the
depth of our being; an encounter with God
"into the deep"- DUC IN ALTUM.
Guided by the document "NOVO MILLENIO INUENTE",
we were challenged to look at the past with
gratitude, to live the present with enthusiasm
and to look forward to the future with confidence.
With open hearts, we allow the Spirit to
work within us. We experienced inner peace
and serenity. We realized the essence of
our being, discovering who we are and God
within us. We commit ourselves to contemplate
the face of Christ and to conform ourselves
to "HIM ALONE- the source, the center and
goal of our life".
His Excellency, challenged us to live our
mission as Apostle Educators with the heart
of a True Mother in Christ by giving JESUS
to whomever we are called, to give them
His Sacraments and His Word and to be His
faithful witnesses.
We found
ourselves on the journey called to go into
the deep. God is truly in our midst!
Few days
later, on April 08- we began our " EMMAUS-JOURNEY"
(preparation) with Sr. Deny, a Monfort Missionary-
Daughter of Wisdom. A religious nun who
accompanied us in our "Journey to Inner
Freedom" since we were Novices.
The first
week was dedicated to "PRAYER LIFE". Fruit
of the experience, we were led to an encounter
with the Primacy of God in our life. We
discovered that Prayer Life is what gives
us the strength and sustenance as we commit
our life to God alone. Here we deepen our
awareness of the constant Presence of God
in our life. ("He"- who walks with us along
the way, directs our path, guides every
adventure of our life and loves us unconditionally)
Thus, our preparation was marked by the
daily experience of God's unfolding presence-
the daily Eucharistic Adoration- which brought
us to journey into the deep, being in touch
more profoundly to who we are and encountering
God within us. This led us to abandon ourselves
in His Hands, making ourselves available
to His Divine Action. Deeply rooted in prayer-
we experience to journey together with the
Lord. Thus, like the two disciples at Emmaus,
we exclaimed in like manner: " OUR HEARTS
BURN WITHIN US AS HE TALKED TO US ON THE
ROAD AND EXPLAINED THE SCRIPTURES TO US."
Our hearts indeed burn with love for God
who loves us first. This LOVE is what moves
us to love- to commit ourselves completely
to HIM ALONE.
The second week was dedicated to the deepening
of the new Constitutions. Tasting the life
we are called to live- Daughters of Bl.
Caterina and Mo. Giuditta Cittadini. In
touch with our identity and spirituality,
we discover the wealth of our Religious
Family. We were challenged to give life
to this treasure- to be living and faithful
witnesses of God's merciful love. Our Mother
Foundresses left us a heritage fruit of
the life they have lived- Apostle Educators
with a heart of a True Mother in Christ
which led us to value the wealth of our
Vocation.
The third
week was dedicated to the deeper understanding
of the three evangelical counsels. We were
led to appreciate more the value of poverty,
chastity and obedience. We discover the
link of these three counsels. Most of us
were deeply touched by the richness of the
vows of chastity-which is no other than
LOVE itself. We realized that Love is the
center of living the evangelical counsels
concretely because it is love that allows
us to embrace poverty and moves us to obey.
We saw in the Life of Jesus- it is because
of His love to the Father that He emptied
Himself and He delighted in doing the Will
of the Father. We value the three evangelical
counsels as precious treasures to be cherished
and nurtured in our daily life.
The fourth
week was dedicated to Community Life. We
were guided through the reflection of the
Trinitarian Cycle of Love. Here it is where
Community life draws its life, strength,
origin and meaning. The Love of the Trinity
is the model of our community life. We discover
the richness of each one and we found the
community as the school of love where each
member live in freedom and mutuality.
Finally,
the last week was dedicated to Marian Spirituality:
Living the Beatitudes with Mary. Mary, as
our constant companion in our journey to
Jesus, contemplating His gentleness and
compassion. The whole journey was very rich
in experience that each one of us really
treasure this moment and we were gifted
with inner peace and serenity. Our journey
was marked by our encounter with God in
us and among us. Our hearts burning with
love for God alone moves us to completely
submit ourselves to Him Alone-the source,
the center and the goal of our life.
LOVE
is what led us to say YES! May 24,2002 was
marked by an experience of LOVE, an encounter
with LOVE and a commitment to LOVE!

May 24, 2002, the Religious Family of the
Ursuline Sisters of St. Jerome in Somasca
praise and thank God as six members of the
Congregation in the Philippines made their
perpetual profession. The said joyful occasion
was officiated by His Excellency Msgr. Julito
B. Cortes at 10:00 in the morning in the
Sanctuary of Our Lady of Sorrows, San Pedro,
Laguna. The six Junior Sisters; Sr. Rea
B. Pangantihon, Sr. Myrna V. Pizaņa, Sr.
Ma. Charina L. Jebulan, Sr. Corazon B. Penados,
Sr. Ma. Fe B. Adriaque, and Sr. Marites
A. Salmone totally submit themselves to
God. They were accompanied by their parents
in their total self-giving to the Lord along
with Mo. Letizia Pedretti- Superior General,
Sr.Vera Ravasio- the Junior Directress,
Sr. Marina Rizzo, Sr. Cicily Jacob and Sr.
Celina Joseph- the witnesses and other priests
as concelebrant in the Eucharistic Celebration.
Filled with gratitude to God the Ursuline
Sisters rejoice on this day, praising God
for the great actions He has accomplished
in the life of these young Sisters. This
joyful occasion was offered to God as a
source of strength and encouragement to
these Six Sisters in their journey to love
as Apostle Educators with the heart of a
True Mother in Christ forever. All Praise
and thanks to God for the gift of life of
these Sisters, for choosing them to be His
instruments of love and calling them to
belong to Him forever as True Spouses with
a heart of a True Mother in Christ.
HIM ALONE! - is the beginning, center
and goal of their life.
